By Maxcore Industries

When selling transmission cores, prepare the available identification numbers, vehicle application, quantity, and known condition for each unit or group. Keep uncertain information visible so the buyer can ask focused questions before confirming interest or terms.

Maxcore includes transmissions in its drivetrain product range. This guide explains how to organize a transmission inventory for a purchasing conversation; it does not define acceptance criteria or a guaranteed value for any unit.

Keep the identification with the physical transmission

Record available tags, part numbers, casting numbers, and interchange references. Include relevant vehicle information where it is known. If you have several similar-looking units, keep each record connected to the actual transmission rather than relying on a general description for the whole group.

Tell the buyer where the identification came from. A number read from the unit, a vehicle inventory record, and an unverified note are different sources of information. Flag missing or unreadable identification.

Separate unlike units in the inventory

Use separate rows for different identifiers, configurations, or known conditions. If units are grouped together, explain what the group has in common and what remains uncertain. Do not combine a clear identification and an unknown unit under the same confident description.

Inventory fieldWhat to record
Internal referenceA reference that connects the record to the physical unit
IdentificationAvailable tag, part, casting, or interchange information
Vehicle applicationKnown vehicle and drivetrain details
QuantityCount for the identified group
Condition and completenessObserved damage, included components, and missing items
UncertaintyDetails that have not been verified

Describe condition without guessing

Explain what is directly known and what has only been reported. Note visible damage and missing components. If operating history or condition is unknown, say so rather than describing the transmission as tested or functional.

Ask purchasing which additional details matter to the specific request. Photographs can support identification and condition notes, but they do not establish acceptance on their own.

What should I confirm about the quote?

  • Which units and quantities are covered by the discussion?
  • Is more identification or condition information needed?
  • How will any differences at check-in be handled?
  • Which purchasing and payment terms apply?
  • What must be confirmed before delivery or shipment?

Keep a record of the agreed details. If you add units or discover a condition difference, raise the change with the purchasing team before treating it as covered by the same quote.

Can I sell a mixed transmission inventory?

You can contact Maxcore with an inventory list and ask the team to discuss the material. A mixed list is easier to review when the identifiers, quantities, and known conditions are separated clearly. Purchasing interest and terms must be confirmed for the actual inventory.
